Taken on a recent trip to Jackson Hole, WY and Grand Teton National Park. This was captured right around sunrise when the first light was hitting the peaks of the mountain.
A rainy even in Montmartre
This photo was taken at Panther Creek Falls along the Columbia River Gorge. It's not really hard to get to, but there is a slippery little decent down a wall so it's best to have some one along with you so you can hold each other's gear as you go down. (Here's the link if you want to see where it is: )
False Kiva is a Class II archeological site. It's a human-made stone circle of unknown origin in a cave in a remote area of the Canyonlands National Park (Island In The Sky Area), which is located in U.S. state of Utah. We hiked out there for sunset and stayed out there until it got dark. While I have several different photos at different times, my favorite is this one with the last light of the day just touching the canyons in the background.
This area is known as the Totem Pole in Monument Valley Utah (right near the Arizona state line).
Sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park
Taken at sunset at Badwater Basin in Death Valley
This photo was taken right before sunrise just outside of North Conway, NH.
This was taken in mid afternoon in downtown Bandon Beach, OR. The light wasn't great so we decided to photograph these docks. This is a 30 second exposure with the Lee Big Stopper to slow down the water so you couldn't see all of the ripples.
Taken during the 2010 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta
Taken at the pier on Hermosa Beach at sunset. I'm not a huge fan of choppy water so I used a 3-stop ND filter to slow the shutter speed enough to give the water that smooth silky feel.
Taken at the popular Racetrack in Death Valley just after sunset. While the warm colors of the sunset looked beautiful, the whole scene took on a blue/purple color after sunset and that's the photo that was my favorite.
Taken after sunrise at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, located near Stovepipe Wells in central Death Valley.
The Albany Bridge in New Hampshire. Taken along the Kancamagus highway.
This is one of the reasons I love 500px for inspiration. I'd have never found this location if I hadn't seen a photo here. Taken at sunset at Corona Del Mar in southern California. The sun didn't exactly cooperate to produce a colorful sunset but the tall rock in the background is naturally brighter than the rest around it and the dramatic clouds along with the rocks really drew me to this image. I used a 3-stop ND filter to slow the shutter enough to give the water that smooth silky feel.
